A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is a fast-track approval process for straightforward developments. A Development Application (DA) is a formal application evaluated directly by your local council.
Your project must comply with all requirements in the State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP), such as minimum lot size, setbacks, height limits, and site coverage.
Once drawings and certificates are finalized, private certifiers can typically approve a CDC in 10 to 14 business days.
A CDC is approved by an accredited Private Certifier or local council certifier rather than going through full council panel assessment.
